A road to choose

Fantasy’s fill the need, the desires which she buries deep within her heart
Reality offers her truth, the facts, which she knows right from the start
She stands alone on this forked road, stuck somewhere in between
The Gypsy in her wanting to travel down this one road she has never seen
Of this road, she asks for nothing, only for a journey to unfold
Reality and the past whispered to her that this road will leave her cold
And as she takes her first step forward she feels the slightest chill set in the air
Her fantasy’s cloaked around her tightly, of this cold she does not care
With each new step, her eyes do wander, following her trail, tracing her track
The closer she comes to the end of this road, she wishes to turn back
And she stopped where she walks, feeling reality grabbing hard upon her hand
Her fantasy’s pulling her to the ground and she does stop where she does stand
This road upon which she travels, feels so right as she walks along
And she hates these doubts that reality brings that this right could be so wrong
She wishes she had a map to this road and the direction that it does lead
For with her Gypsy heart she has never cared if the she satisfied this need
So here she stands looking long and hard staring off into the distance
This road unknown may be strong enough to break down her resistance
And she closes her eyes and spins with the wind, hoping the right direction to blow
For she has never felt so lost on one road, two directions, which way to go.....
