tealights

sitting in darkness
save the flickering tea lights
their bodies soak in lukewarm water

the distance between them, once great
now reduced to a thin film
pressed between their skin

exhausted once from time apart
now simply exhausted
they lie in bliss

lips to skin
an uttered reminder of a poem
he no longer calls his own

forever starts...
