tryst

"i want your children," you say,
and rub your stomach just below the navel
a soft smile spreading across your face
your eyes inviting me closer

smiling at you, i approach
our gaze locked on one another
touching gently, we embrace
and laugh in loving bliss

your lips meet mine softly
the world around us fades, unimportant
our bodies fuse together
combined in a heated exchange

together we laugh, entangled in sheets
the smell of our tryst still lingering
our heated bodies being cooled
by the turning blades of the ceiling fan above

"i love you," i whisper, pulling you close
both of us drifting off to sleep
as our two hearts beat in unison
soon to be joined by a third.
