Swollen Heart

I've been through a thousand wars and back,
but you'll find this body whole.
Instead I've built a fortress 
'round my over-sensitive soul.
My whole existence aches for you 
and the love you have to give. 
I know to drown in your sweet love 
is the only way to live.
I need something to give me a start.
You've danced me out under my dreams, 
but I can't see the stars.
And you can't penetrate my swollen heart. 
It's been battered in the battles

So feeling like you just can't win
you collect your love to go.
