Whats in a Room

Escaping from the candles light
hoping to slip by unnoticed
Silhouettes of heads
Sweep across pillows on a bed
not used for days where,
once laid in harmony,
tired souls,
speaking, giving, sharing for and with each other
empty thoughts, dreams, anticipations, needs,
desires, warmth, strength,
curiosities and mysteries from the
yesterdays, todays and tomorrows of their lifes.

And now in this vast chamber of a heart
I not only saw but,
could hear the tenderness in their
affirmation of innocence
as they spoke not of emptiness, dissappointment,
adversity or arrogance but,
only of a yearning to be
endlesly with each other to be complete
as they pretend to be when apart from each other,
As if they were candles with unlit wicks
longing to come alive once again to cherish each others soft light,
and share their hearts with no one else......

desires, warmth, strength, curiosities and mysteries,
from the yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows of their lifes.

And now of this vast chamber in a heart,
I not only saw but,
could hear the tendern
