Could this be?

Looking back on the moments we shared
Did they become a part of you like they did me
I remember your dry throat and the way you wet your hair
And I'll never forget the way you ran your fingers across my face
In those few precious hours I let you close
Closer than I ever thought to let anyone
But now you've forgotten how much I really gave
You do not appreciate that I handed you my heart
I keep hoping and I keep praying that you'll come back
Should I wait or should I go on, will you ever say
Is it possible to love someone you hardly now
Or can it be that somehow I've always known you
Are you the one I've waited for, could forever be very far
If you asked I'd run to you, if your arms were open
Even though are worlds are so very different
My world can change if it meant we would be together
