Poet?

He says he is not a poet
But his very words seem poetry,
His everyday utterances,
His declarations of love.
So what is a poet?
The dictionary says:
One who writes words
Possessing both 
Beauty of thought
And grace of language;
Or any writer
Gifted with imagination
And creative power.
He is all that and more.
So what's in a name?
A poem by any other name
Would sound as sweet.
If his words sing in my heart,
Is that not a poem?
