Out of Touch

through it all we remain out of touch,
love now afar, missed so much,
no reaching out for this,
for times I long to kiss,
now, the two of us no longer embrace,
in time that feeling will erase,
a sensation we dreamed would last,
now a distance in the past,
a lasting love, we dreamed of such,
that too, is out of touch,
a roof and wide open space,
to sell would be an open and shut case,
to divide the time,
would single out love in kind,
memories of melodies played,
become cherished and delayed,
for the window of time pulls its shade,
closing out a romance bound to fade,
for two who once loved so much,
over time, fell out of touch.
