"Go Slow"

I opened up my heart............

In curiosity, in compassion and truth............

Accepting you completely.

I promised only honesty.

Knowing youth knows not, the value of love.......

its rareness, its pureness

its 'once in a lifetime' uniqueness.

You say...........Go slow.

I, of course, respect your direction..........

but my heart screams "WHY?"

Slow is for cowards.

Slow is for snails.

Slow is for farm machinery, old people and those faint of heart.

I don't speak ''slow.''

Talk to me abouty the advantages of 'slow.'

I'll tell you of its risks.

Lets compare lists.

''Slow kills.'' Not in cars, but in love.

Love knows not the wisdom of caution.

Love is meteors across an empty sky

Love is the exquisiteness of the pain of childbirth

The lonely coyotes cry

The racking sobs of aloneness too raw too bear

Yet I'll take the aloneness rather then crawl into oblivion

You say "SLOW.

I say "NO!"

I say "LOVE DICTATES ITS OWN PACE.''

The purer the love.........the greater the tolerance for speed.

You say ''Go slow.''

I say ''You don't love me,

and thats ok......for now.''
