*SwEeT 16*

i saw you naked from my picture window to yours
the first time i saw you that you couldn't lie to me
you blindfolded me
i could hear my baby crying
i wanted to go home
i remember the sidewalk that night
maybe romance had taken a turn 'cause we were so distant
when you walked me home that night
i think it was your turn to spin the bottle...
'cause you grabbed me against the reflected shadows of the street lamp
and the busy streets
it was so late
the leaves mingled with the trees
you wrapped your lips around mine
said we were so divided
i laughed
laughed at your dumb shoes
your james dean haircut
you were the sweetest thing i'd ever seen
suddenly i realized what you meant when you said our stars were aligned
when you called me from a payphone that rainy night
you were so sweet
i was so young and innocent
afterall it was my sweet 16
