Mask

We all wear mask metaphorically speaking J
We'll never take it off until we find what we are seeking

Is it this person or maybe even that?
I think to myself, looking out the window rubbing my cat

Visions come to my mind of this perfect someone
Then I open my eyes realizing I'm lonesome

I pretend, in life, nothing is wrong
Sitting at home singing another sad love song

I go out in the world with a smile on my face
Everyone thinks my life is splendid, I think it's a disgrace

I have no lover, no man to hold me tight
Life is really not all about love….siiiiiiiike!!

I wear a mask everyday to cover up the wounds
Of a broken heart which will heal one day soon

Until then I'll keep this mask on
and keep singing that sad love song
