Giddy Me

Oh giddy me, I fail to see
the brambles in the lea
for all the dainty faces
gleaming up at me
petals soft and spiraling
sweet scent waft in June
centers filled with seeds
of more dainties which are due
colors meant for fairytales
paled and richly-hued
all luring me to paradise
serene in this cocoon,
I frolick giddily
barefoot and with a rune
