A Love Poem

Who am I? I am the war between heaven and hell.
Look into my eyes, what have I done? I have done
everything and nothing. I have danced with demons
and slept with angels. Sin and holy water wither
against my touch.
Who are you? You are the one that frees my soul,
you are the one that makes harmony out of chaos.
You are my white knight, you wrestle demons and
race the stars. You make me whole.
Together? We are like fire and water. Clashing against
each others skin. Like hemlock your taste kills me.
A euphoria so powerful it stops my heart, and breaks it.
You break me. You dance across my surface like
raindrops on a lake. Coming ever so close to
drowning within me, then pulling back. You refuse
to quench my thirst. Your eyes whisper secrets to
dangerous to share. They tell me everything, yet
nothing.
And what of this attraction? Why does your face haunt
my dreams? Why do your eyes stalk my thoughts?
Memories flash like slides in a black and white
picture show. The captions below have faded, no
words remain. Remember when you dreamt that you once
danced with a demon and slept with an angel? Who am I?
I am, and forever will be, yours.
