Tears in Advance

When Alex lived in me, the world was soft and full of sleep.
She came to me in a dream to tell me how to keep the love that I had for my soul.

Because I was dying daily in his arms, his arms, his arms,
And I am kissing daisies in my mind when I'm with her.
I was dying peacefully in his arms.
I was fumbling, falling when I said, "I'm yours, I'm yours."

When Alex lived in me, the world was dead and soft of sleep.
She came to me in a dream to tell me how to keep the love that I had for my soul.

He was the man and I lay in his arms and I lay in his bed and
He lay in my box.
He painted me with white, smearing chalk and
He painted the tears on my eyes in advance.
I promised I would cry when he died.
I promised to suffer sweet Alex when she cried.

When Alex lived in me, the world was full and dead of sleep.
She came to me in a dream to warn me that she would come to steal the soul that I loved.

As my body bloated and grew, the man collapsed me in his arms.
As my Alex came into view, the blood was like the bathroom faucet.
I promised I would cry when he died.
Alex was dead and I didn't have a fucking tear.

When Alex lived in me, she promised she would save me.
When Alex lived in me, she promised she would save me from herself.
