lipstick hush

still life painting under hazy stars
that remind us of ourseves

he paints my heart on a canvas of thorns
then mends the holes with bubble gum

I break the mirror
pieces of myself I can't escape
every smash reveals myself again and again only more
(and smaller)

he wakes up
hair framing his face like a halo
he is hapiness I have found in a message
in a bottle

the night enchants
makes him more an instrument at my fingertips
as I am a fading out ember in the darkness

dimness stark and stiffling
we are flung

he is a book I can not read from cover to cover
he is so complex
I can never know him
know him between nictotine kisses
through poems and nail biting
his dick I know
I've seen
but then....
he drives
there's another thing
I can't figure out the time when a fire breathing demon beckons you
he is saving me once I can save myself
