Sleep

have you ever watched someone sleeping?
to see them so vulnerable and docile,
soft breaths rising and falling,
the occasional sigh,
every little shift they make 
causing you to hold your breath in fear 
that you've disturbed their angelic slumber...
then relaxing when they settle back into the
dream from which they so briefly roused...
to watch for hours this never ending peaceful 
display of poetry in motion...
so beautiful,
so lovely,
so divine...
   (sigh)
