I know it is not traditional to insert narritives into poems, but for this one in particular, I find it more than necessary. As a long time reader/submitter on the blender(through various names and means of submission), I have found there to be an ever-evolving set of categries, and I also tend to dislike works that invoke the simplest emotions to conjure up(ie. hate or lust). This poem for me is unique, though, because it is more of a song. I acknowledge that it lacks several poetic elements, but it's dirgelike qualities as a song are much better in my mind. I have been in and out of relationships over the last several years, writing my feelings in poetic form here and there, reflecting. This song reflects only how I FEEL, not the actual way I treat loved ones, perhaps this is how we all feel when we let our emotions dictate our actions, we find ourselves acting rashly, out of spite, or simply reacting without thinking. We do not necessarily do all of these things at once, but if we could some up over the span of all of our fouled relationships, precisely what had went wrong, and from both ends what we would do for retribution, I find this "list" pretty accurate. Shall I now say hesitanyly, enjoy...

I'll make a promise
That I won't keep
You'll learn to trust me
Then you'll learn to weep
Your hearts desire
And my decadence
Just sign it over
For permanence

I'm gonna tear you down
I'm gonna bleed you out
I'm gonna teach you girl
What it's all about

I'm in your window
I'm in your mind
I'm every lover baby
You'll ever find
The fear is right here girlie
The things I do
I'll tear your mind out sweetheart
And ride right through

You'll find me hiding
Beneath your skin
You'll never know it
Once I begin
Your veins start seething
What's on your mind
You try to think about it
Then you go blind

I'm gonna tear you down
I'm gonna bleed you out
I'm gonna teach you girl
What it's all about(echoed)

Why are you crying
Why do you scream
When I have shown you
Just what to dream
And now I own you
My little thing
I have erased you
it's pain I bring
