portion

like the moon who shares the sky with the stars and the sun
the ocean which is the destiny of rivers from near or far away lands
like this big wide world is never owned by just a single man
so too is your heart not held only by my own hands
i think it selfish to ask you to lose them other faces
whose photographs still hang on the walls of your heart
together with mine, side by side, we share the places
even at times when we're alone, from them you are never apart
it has come to the point where i don't grieve no more from this woe
i take what you give me and cherish whatever comes
for as love can never serve different masters, i know,
no rule was ever made to keep it from ruling different kingdoms
and i pride myself from loving as few others did love
regardless, no ifs, no buts, no demands or conditions
and when i fancy to see what jewels i have in my treasure trove
i'd always be proud to see only you, i've no lamentations...
