turgid

turgid so maybe
my prose is sometimes
as stiff
as a stuffed shirt
    or verbal roadkill
I use big words not to
be impressive
because I know I am fooling everyone
    but cannot ever fool you
but to capture the colors of the rainbow
the sunshine of your love brings out in the storms
within me
even in the night
when my heart runs as black as this ink
you are here to warm me
with the glow of a soul just like mine
and though no words
no thoughts even
could capture this feeling
the one you fill me with
I will spend the rest of my life
    if I have to
trying to describe it to you
