Sparrow

Oh sparrow on my window sill
With a sharp rose thorn piercing your breast
How do you keep singing still
When pain says you're near eternal rest

Every early morning you venture to the rose garden
To lay your eyes upon a beautiful dove
But soon sweet sparrow your life shall pardon
And never again shall you see your love

The love in your heart smothers the pain; this I know
But oh loving sparrow I shall miss you when the leaves begin to fall
For your warm heart and cold body lye still in the snow
You taught me to die loving than to never love at all
