Lost in Play

You awoke me with a kiss
as you so often do
I felt your fire against me
and heard your murmur too.
I pull away to leave the bed
you gently grab my wrist
and pull me down against you
giving my arm a playful twist.
Your hand beneath my silken curls
that tangle in your fist
you pull my head back just a bit
and kiss my pouty lips
we dive beneath the covers
to keep the world at bay
cause it will have to pardon us
Two lovers lost in play.
