The Naid Gets . . . Loved

'twas there by the spring
these lovers did meet free;
with cool drink and warm heart
she welcomed him meekly.

soothed in his arms,
he embraced her completely;
and whispered sweet words
not mentioned here discretely.

he promised this nymph love,
and described it so sweetly;
as he took a blanket and
spread it quite neatly.

he kissed her and loved her;
showed such passionate ability,
and soon held her secure
as she slept in tranquillity.
