a very small guy
i'm just a little guy
with tiny hands and feet
but my microscopic dreams
are quite big to me
i hitched a ride
on a mosquito tonight
to be at your side
to be close to you
my mount was tempted by your warmth
made annoying buzzing flirting sounds
you swatted him
now i have no way home
i pretend it bothers me
it doesn't bother me
'cept walking through shag carpeting surely scares the life from me
guess i'll just hang out on your shoulder
and accept it all
i might get tempted to kiss you
you're enormous, so you probably won't notice my little lips
you could fit several hundred of me on your figertip
i'm very small, you see
i'll write poetry on your eyelids
so you see it when you blink
and i'll do my best to figure out
on my own
how much you think
about little things
like me
