strawberry blonde and braided
watertight
something to keep out the damp of night
she wove her patterns back and forth
she never knew what it was worth
but he did
he retreated upon her request
his time was of a welcomed guest
nothing more
nothing less
nothing left to practice but confessions
he learned one of life's lessons
love comes dripping in
at awkward times
drink it in
let it win
