made up dream (silly girl)

i dreamed you rescued me
     from a fiery explosion

you came riding up
   on your white stallion,
     belting out a love song,
   wearing the sweater i bought you,
 carrying a bouquet of red roses
   and baby's breath.

you dodged burning timbers
   and broke through walls till
     you saw me.
you kissed me hard and said:
   (with a tear in your eye)
     "I'M SO GLAD I DIDN'T LOSE YOU."

then you carried me in your arms
  and we dashed to safety,
    running through a lush green field
      filled with
        stark-white daisies.
