The Search is Really, Really OVER

my masculine mind and refusal
    to compromise
have made it exceedingly difficult
   for me to find
    an ardent adversary
...where is my match?
...where is he hiding?
...where is the one man
who can see past my brittle facade
to the shy little girl who still
believes in fairy tales and
penny wishes?
kisses won't bring him
    home to me
poetry and letters
     won't suffice
in fact, there is
     nothing I
       can do
Revlon has yet 
  to manufacture
     a miracle lipstick
that is powerful enough
   to act as a beacon
        or magnet
he will find me
   or he won't
but of one thing
   I am certain
-I will never
     find him.
