the way it's supposed to be

Nothing's ever the way it's supposed to be at all.

     You would be my
         Knight in Shining Armour
   the Love of my Life
      the Wind Beneath my Wings
   My Everything
    (and every other cliche in the book)

And they wouldn't be
    Clever Lines
but Truth

   I could look into your eyes
   and see your 
Heart & Soul
   instead of my
  reflection

        You would think Only of Me

  not of Scoring 
but of Loving

And you would 
     love me and hug me and want me
 from the depths of your being

        I would be Yours.
