You touched me
Deeper than you ever planned
gently
penetrated my convictions
made me wonder if I could balance
on the tightrope
and forego the safety net
and simply love
because the words poured from lips
in kisses
unbidden
unspoken
but felt
and I went to bed
wrapped in your arms
in my imagination only
but feeling more loved
than I had in years.
