Liar

                             Liar

So thats what you are
the name you've been granted.
By all of the "bitches"
whose hearts you've enchanted.

It's never your fault,
they're always to blame.
Don't you deserve better?
Girls are all the same.

But whose fault is it really?
Who should point the finger?
You say "its over",
but in their life you'll linger.

Always changing your mind,
one day you'll be lonely.
And try to crawl back
to your "One and only."

They'll have more sense,
they've learned from the past.
The won't take you seriously,
that "one more chance" was your last.

You promised them heaven,
but took them through hell
The time of day you won't get,
they know you too well.

They made their mistakes,
they admit it, they tried.
They crumbled at your smile
their doubts they denied.

They thought in your eyes
forever they'd find.
All they found there was heartache,
to the signs they were blind.

There is a difference
between them and me.
I know the real you,
what they thought couldn't be.

You didn't mean to show it,
but to me it was clear.
You only told us
what we wanted to hear.

Your promises were empty,
your words rang hollow.
To anyone with sense,
it was too much to swallow.

If they dug a little deeper,
like I learned to do,
they'd see the phrase that fits
is "Too good to be true."

Now that you're gone,
I see what you are.
Not my world or my everything-
Not my bright shining star.

To me you are pain,
a reminder of the past.
What I wanted to work out,
but knew wouldn't last.

Funny we don't realize
whats right in front of our face.
We want to go back,
but time we can't erase.

Nothing will change
what you meant to me before-
but now you bring lies,
nothing less nothing more.
