Some Say

Some say Love is like a flower,

And some say it is a rose.

Some sing Love is but a river,

Deep and quiet as it flows.

Some say Love is high as the mountains,

     Covered with virgin white snow.

But some say it is the valley,

At sunset, when the sky starts to glow.

Some say it is a mother's smile,

As she rocks her new babe to sleep.

While others say it is their God,

Who watches o'er them while they sleep.

Some say Love is like the ocean,

Waves pounding the soft yielding surf.

Others say it is in the night sky,

When meteors shower, kissing the earth.

Some say Love is in the wings of a butterfly,

As it drinks the nectar of life.

Even like the painted desert at dawn,

When it is so beautiful it cuts like a knife.

Some say Love can be found in the laughter of a child,

Others say Love is a mystery to be found..

All I can say, that others have not before,

Is I find Love in your eyes, your smile, each day brings me more.
