love tide
and here it comes
rolling like thunder
toward the shore of my heart
a love tide of many hearts
seeking a safe harbor in mine
and as the tide recedes
a few may cling for awhile
while others are flushed back
to the sea of love
to seek out other harbors on other shores
and of those left clinging
perhaps only one will survive the next
love tide
