pierced

you were liquid
moving through the air
i pictured you
following the rain drops
as they coursed their
way toward the earth
and gliding your way down
my skin learning intimately
the curve of my body
as your trail evaporated
behind you
i saw the blackness of night
surrounding your face
but for the glow of
your smile looking
down at me
i saw your flicker in
the candle light that i
stared at for hours as the flame
leaped and danced
its vivid shadow dancing
jumping from wall to wall
teasing the corner of my eyes
i heard you in my song
when your notes pierced my heart
and made me tumble over
in pain
i thought it was purity
hurting but then i saw your
truth
as your voice scaled the night
and made a composition of it
with the stars......
