start at the roots.

we loved.
Chapters whiz by
and pages become a blur
as the truth unfolds
about another love spurned.
Temptations are resisted
to flip to the end
but the plot is failing
and I can't remember when
I started this story
or what compelled me to keep reading.
Back in the stack
the dust gathers
and the memory of chapter three
escapes me.
The theme continues
in every chapter of every book I read
pursuing happiness, life and liberty.
Where is the love?
