Springwater-Kiss
it was a hot day in May
we were hot
i was very hot that day
it was late in Spring
i hadn't quite sprung
he sprang anyway
down towards the spring to fetch a drink my way
to cool me down
to cool us down
...it was so hot that day
we were melting fast away
but he had no cup to catch the flow
of cool water from the spring
and this perplexed him for a moment
until it dawned on him how to bring
a cool sip of it to me
and then he looked at me and grinned,
bent right down , took a big sip
and ran quickly to cool me down
with a loving springwater-kiss
I will never forget that kiss;
so welcome and fresh
so full of love and surprise
and oh so WET!
I had never been kissed before
...not like that!
Ahhhh what I would give for another
refreshing springwater-kiss.
