Jungle Song

you found me bathing in the waterfall
and the snakes and cheetahs didn't scare you away
you knew the vision was true and worth
a risk or two or three
because the reward was me
in all my steamy glory
and the animal attraction
sufficed until I blew it all to bits
with a mousy introduction
and a sweet, swollen lisp
you smelled my poison
and took the next bus
back to civilization
