A Woman's Prayer

If I should go before the night be through
I promise to wait and and comfort you.
I'll earn my wings and be your guide
Through life and to the other side.
I'll watch as you learn to love again
Knowing a new life will begin
Jealousy will not tempt me
Waiting patiently is where I'll be.
And when the time comes to take you home
I'll be the only love you've known.
So remember if my time comes before yours
I'll be just on the other side of those doors.
