Absolute

As the sun rules the day and the moon rules the 
night, so does my love for you rule me, absolute. 
As strong as a river’s flow through a canyon deep 
and narrow, as unforgiving as the wilderness wild, 
so is my love for you, absolute. 

As the morning dew that must cling to the forest 
leaves, and the clouds inexorably must move to the 
East, so does my love for you rule my life, 
absolute. As my life’s blood is, so is my love for 
you, absolute.

You entered my life and blessed me with something 
I thought I had lost forever, a love reborn absolute. 
You gave to me a gift I swore was long ago forgotten, 
never to be felt again. A love for you absolute.

I have pondered the possibilities. I have thought 
about the ramifications. And I accept what will be. 
I need you near me forever and all time and share 
with me my love for you, absolute.
