Comfort

You told me that we couldn't possibly break up.
We had reached a comfort level.
It was a forgiving, understanding relationship in which we took each other.
    For granted, that is.

You know me better than anyone else.
But do you REALLY know me?
We reached the comfort level.
    Where questions ceased to exist.

Answers became assumed.
I never told you my dreams.
I told you where I was going,
   What I was doing.

Today.
Tomorrow.
Ten years from now.

But I never told you my dreams.
My motivation in life.
You never knew what TRULY kept my world spinning.
   And you never asked.
