The Perfect Dream

As I lay down and drift to sleep
Dreams fill my head, the good ones I’ll keep
One in particular is constantly a blast
When I wake up I always want it to last
Bits and pieces I seem to remember
To her love I will always surrender
Golden blonde hair flows in the wind
Her white dress and smile eliminate any sin
Beautiful eyes twinkle like the brightest star
I now know that love is not far
I pick a rose to fill her heart with glee
It feels wonderful to see her smile back at me
My arms encircle her waist as we watch the crimson sun set
I pull her tight for this moment I will never forget
As darkness descends, she looks into my eyes with eternal bliss
We slowly inch forward for the most passionate kiss
Suddenly I awaken and fear fills my head
There is my mother, telling me to get my ass out of bed
