By These Words

I may never find the love I so earnestly crave.
My dreams may go unfullfilled.
Though I am passions child
I am at times motherless.
I walk with my head in a cloud full of day dreams.
I am at times my own worst enemy
I lead myself to ecstacy and
move myself to tears.
I have lived a life of thousands
and am wise beyond my years.
My heart bears the burden that my shoulders
cannot carry.
But I drown pleasantly in this bottomless pool.
For I know without a doubt that love is worth it all.
So by these words are my thoughts established.
To give love may be my purpose.
Thank God, I can at least do that.
