Dreams

I saw you last night, if only in my dreams. We 
loved each other tenderly. The universe opened 
itself to us, and time stopped. Our ecstasy was 
limitless.

Yet, our love is a forbidden love in the waking 
world, a love of fiery passion, of unquenchable 
desire, and a love of insatiable sensuality.

A world where rapture and intimacy are unimaginable, 
yet when I am with you, inside of you, I feel complete, 
and my world is no longer vulnerable.

However, I fear our love could never be in a world 
that knows only misconception. So tonight, I will 
wait for you, to hold you in my arms again. Loving 
each other tenderly, if only in my dreams.
