forlorn is what you get
when you don't get lonely
like you used to
a deeper shade of alone
that makes less with more
of sensory deprivation
than a human heart
should be allowed to
perceive, let alone wallow in
for the reminders sleep
in the same bed as you do
and the memories of better times
gone by are incapable of
haunting the right dreams
for even they have forsaken you
rolled over to fall faster than asleep
could ever hope to take
your partner away from you
drifting
almost the trademark
of gone
