Vicious Circle
She thinks if she hopes hard enough
he will love her.
She knows if he kisses her again
she will be hurt.
She knows she has no self restraint
when it comes to him though.
She knows he loves her best friend, and
she knows her best friend loves him back.
So why does she keep the hope alive?
Because when he sees her hope start
to falter
he tells her: "It is you I really want."
And,
her eyes don't blink,
her thoughts race;
she is silent.
She falls for him all over again.
