Limitless Limitations

I'll never be new again
fresh like snow
glistening white
pure & promising
an invitation
          to enchantment

I'm a crone
disguised as
a maiden
you won't find innocence
          in my eyes
but secrets
old as the oceans

I have been
penetrated
but not
explored
mortal men
fear my depths

there are shadows
to me
and treasures
endless treasures
but unfortunately,
             no map

I'll never be sixteen again

loving blind
liking myself
            going wild in life's casino

now I know
my limitations
now I know
what I can
   and cannot handle

now I know
that love will have to happen
for me

it is too big
to arrange
on my own
