DREAMS FORGOTTEN

        DREAMS FORGOTTEN

THE WEIGHT OF THESE DREAMS I CARRIED ON MY SHOULDERS FOR 2 YEARS
HAVE FINALLY MADE ME CRUMBLE AND FALL.
YOU TOLD ME YOU LOVED ME A MILLION TIMES BUT NOT ONCE DID I FEEL IT.
NOT ONCE.
I HELD THOSE DREAMS FOR THE BOTH OF US
AND SO SOON YOU FORGOT ABOUT THEM....
JUST LIKE I KNEW YOU WOULD.
WORK WAS ALWAYS SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT.
YOU SAID YOU HATED TO SEE ME CRY,
BUT SO MANY NIGHTS YOU WATCHED ME AND DID NOTHING TO MAKE ME STOP
I COULD HAVE BUILT A RIVER WITH THE TEARS I SHED
AND HALF THE TIME I WISH YOU WOULD HAVE DROWNED IN IT.
       WITH LOVE JOSIE CLARE
