...arriving home...

Darling woman,

If you are close enough to read these words then, yes...
You have arrived safely home.
But before you turn the handle
I wanted you to know something of extreme inportance:
I Love You
Such common little words
Meant to comminicate such uncommon emotions
But they fall so very short at times.

The first time I held you in my arms
With hands trembling so bad I laughed at myself
That day seems just like yesterday.
But this morning, before our day even began..,
Wasn't it funny that after so many years
My hands were trembling so badly when I cupped your sweet breast
That I had to laugh once again?
And as I softly bit playfully at your nipple
I felt like it was the first time all over again.
Because it is the first time all over again
Every time my hand traces the smooth curve of thigh
And my tongue tastes the secret flavor that is only you
I am reborn.
As you love
As your lover
As the living words of your song.

So I am already here
Already waiting in the shower
Letting the warm water cool my soul
and heat my spirit
And wash away the impurities of the day
That I may come to you now with the purity of love.
And while the soap on my rope grows smaller
I, myself am growing larger
as anticipation has me trembling again
Only this time
My whole body trembles right along
As its new all over again.

Come on in my love,
I am waiting.......
