Hot House Blossoming

You say you're not much of a gardener,
and yet it seems the petals
all around you want to burst open,
and the pollen flies
whereever you touch,
and the stamen
are heavy with nectar
awaiting your discerning tongue
where just a taste
will cause a fresh blooming.
I wait,
feeling the flower folds tremble
as you begin this subtle process,
polination,
gathering the pollen
you gently part the flower,
wait until I am utterly still
then probe deeper---
reminding me all the while to breathe---
breath is part of the process.
And when I open to you
heavy like ripe fruit
you consume me
while my breath goes heavy
my eyes shut against the light
and your touch
is a thousand moths wings
against my core.
You brought this bloom
to blossoming
and it is only fair
that you will name the hybrid
that you brought to light.
