If only you would listen to me
when I tell you

to remain wrapped up

self-pity
self-hatred
that you can't hear
the love
that pours from my lips
everytime I speak
if only you could believe me
when I say
that the only one I want
is you
instead of talking about
the other men
the better men
I could have
none of them
could ever make me feel
the way you do
when you
touch me
kiss me
hold me
if only you could understand me
when I confess
how much I need you
in my life
like water
or breath
or sunlight
but you never
listen
