One cool night.

She ran to me through the woods like a green leafed wraith
the spongey floor soft beneath uncovered feet
lighter foliage bends in faith before we fall together
there we lie
she touches my skin
lingering
like petals falling on a pond
brings her face close
warm breath
soft as shadows on a wall
and I can see where we've been
in her eyes
I can see it all.
