A Gentleman?
i offer my hand to assist you to rise
the look i received left me withered
one more step i took to hold the door
you pushed me aside
i wish to be a gentleman
to what i perceive as a lady
yet stand accused of chauvinism
and lack of care for all i try and do
mother taught me respect
as she raised five by herself
sister taught as well for helping
to raise her four younger
and im a savage for the offer of a hand ?
heh, but you think i will stop?
not till you understand
that i don't do this only for you
but for me as well
